Benefits of wearing Braids as a Protective Style.

I love me some extra small braids 😍, they are just sexy and classy 😉. In this photo me & an assistant braided my hair.
Hey 👋🏾 Queen! I didn't forget about you; my amazing, gorgeous client 😊. I know I've been sending you emails on hair care, products, and tips etc.., but I want you to know I have not forgotten about you. I want to personally talk to you about the benefits of wearing braids as a protective style. You know this is my thing as well 😌.
This is good. I did some research and put something together based on my experiences and expertise as a professional master braider myself.
Braids are a popular protective style for African American women. And not only us, but we have been seeing it spreading across the board now. Everyone's wearing braids nowadays! This might be the first time you're hearing this, BUT they can be used to protect the hair from damage, retain moisture, and promote healthy hair growth. Braids are also a wonderful way to express creativity and style. (I like add color sometimes)
Protective Benefits:
Braids are a terrific way to protect the hair from damage. When the hair is braided, it is less likely to break or become tangled. This helps to keep the hair healthy and strong. Additionally, braids can help to retain moisture in the hair. This is especially important for those with dry or brittle hair. The braids act as a barrier to keep moisture in and prevent the hair from becoming dry and brittle. Finally, braids can help promote healthy hair growth. With the right Braidist, (I feel good about myself here), when the hair is braided, it is less likely to be pulled or tugged on, which can cause breakage and damage. This helps to promote healthy hair growth and keep the hair looking its best. So, it's important stick with the Braider who knows what she is doing, aware of your hair state or works gently on your hair.

Creative Expression: (I love when you say I want color!) 😃
It is also a wonderful way to express creativity and style. And you know me, I'm going to encourage you to step out of the box a little bit... lol. There are many diverse types of braids that can be used to create unique looks. From Traditional Box Braids, Knotless, Gypsy Braids, Boho Knotless Braids, Butterfly Braids, to Cornrows, there are endless possibilities for creative expression. There are so many to keep counting on! Additionally, braids can be accessorized with beads, charms, and other decorative items to add even more flair. This makes braids a fantastic way to express one’s individual style and personality. And I'm here for it! (p.s.s. Love ❤️ to do braided wigs too!!)

Low Maintenance:
Another great benefit of wearing braids is that they are minimal maintenance. Unlike other styles that require frequent styling and upkeep, braids can last for weeks or even months with minimal maintenance. This makes them a great option for those who don’t have a lot of time to spend on their hair. Additionally, braids are inexpensive compared to other styles that you must upkeep every week, making them an affordable option for those on a budget. They are a great investment!

Versatility:
Braids are also incredibly versatile. They can be worn in a variety of styles and lengths, making them suitable for any occasion. From a casual day out to a formal event, braids can be styled to fit any look. Additionally, they can be worn up or down, depending on the desired look. This makes them a great option for those who want to switch up their look without having to completely change their hairstyle. Yep! Reminiscing on Rhona’s hair I did for her wedding 💑. A perfect example of Versatility! Image below 😃 😊

Comfort:
Finally, I can boldly say that my braids are incredibly comfortable. And I can speak for myself as a Professional Master Braider. I'm not a tight braider. Unlike other styles that can be tight and uncomfortable, braids are loose and lightweight. This makes them perfect for you if you want a style that won’t pull or tug on your scalp. We have Knotless Braids trending now. Additionally, my braids are less likely to cause headaches or neck pain due to their lightweight nature. (Again; I'm speaking on my experiences as a braider and many testimonials from all my clients!)
