Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein

Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein is an amber colored liquid derived from wheat germ. Protein molecules are large in size, making it difficult for the skin or hair to absorb it. In order to use them effectively, in the hair care products it is, it is broken down into smaller fragments. Proteins undergo hydrolysis in which these molecules are broken down into smaller molecular fragments by breaking the peptide bond. The hydrolyzed wheat protein are proteins with low molecular weight and size which are easily absorbed in the hair shaft and have proved to be beneficial in adding volume, increasing the elasticity and flexibility, making the hair more manageable and shine to your hair. Shea Butter is a byproduct of shea nuts that are harvested from the Vitellaria paradoxa tree in West Africa, also known as the "karite tree" (which means "tree of life") because of its many healing properties.
